Ive purchased a Mazda CX 5 GT 2015 a little less than a year ago and it seems very picky with compatibility. They had a list of phones compatible with the vehicle (I have a moto X and it states that it is supported). I've installed the Android Auto app but when I plug into my USB, nothing happens. Isnt android auto just a mirrored screen from your phone? I use the original system with android auto in my Mazda 3 from 2015. No performance issues whatsoever when using Android auto. Only the stock SD navigation system is a little bit slow.
